Born Patrick Agba on August 5, 1986, in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, Patreal Agba hails from the Obudu local government area of Cross River State. His passion for music began at a young age, influenced by the vibrant Efik highlife music and legends such as Peter Effiom and Inyang Nta Henshaw. Additionally, he developed a strong affinity for a cappella gospel music, which led him to form a church-based a cappella group known as “The Minstrels.” During his secondary education, he further honed his musical talents by joining the musical group called “The Brothers.”
Patreal is a graduate of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the former Cross River University of Technology (now recognized as UniCross). Despite pursuing a career in engineering, his dedication to music remained unwavering, alongside his interests in drawing and painting. He established a music platform and production outfit called “The Real Geez”.
