The anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the city crime branch on Monday May 9, arrested a Nigerian man from Krushna Bazaar chowk in Sangvi, India for allegedly possessing Hashish (marijuana) worth Rs 1.95 lakh. A team headed by police inspector Shrikant Navale and assistant inspector Ajay Waghmare arrested Onyekachi Namika Uchenna (26), currently staying at Masjid Bundar in Mumbai.
The ANC team which was patrolling on Friday night became suspicious of Uchena’s presence at Krushan Bazaar chowk and decided to question him. He was detained and Hashish was recovered from him during frisking.
